JT90BCBV1L, JT95BCBV1L, JT100BCBV1L, JT90BHBV1L, JT95BHBV1L - Product Overview (Refrigeration Compressor Application)

Core Overview

This series comprises high-performance, dedicated variable frequency drives (VFDs) specifically designed for industrial and commercial refrigeration compressors. They integrate advanced frequency conversion drive technology with the specialized requirements of refrigeration systems. Utilizing sophisticated vector control algorithms, they provide precise speed control and capacity modulation for compressors like screw-type and piston-type models. Their core value lies in delivering significant energy savings, smooth and reliable soft start/stop, and intelligent system protectionfor refrigeration systems, making them widely applicable in chillers, freezing/cold storage, and air conditioning/heat pump applications.

Model Number Explanation

Using JT100BCBV1Las an example:

• JT: Brand code or product series designation.

• 100: Code representing the compatible compressor power, approximately 100 kW (or corresponding rated current).

• B: Product generation or design series.

• C / H: Key differentiator indicating load capability.

• C: Typically denotes Standard Load type, suitable for compressors operating under standard conditions.

• H: Typically denotes Heavy Duty / High Load type, offering higher overload capacity and enhanced heat dissipation for demanding conditions like frequent starts/stops, high discharge temperatures, or harsh environments.

• B: Likely indicates a built-in Braking Unit(crucial for rapid compressor deceleration or emergency stops).

• V1: Voltage level code, indicating 400Vclass (for 3-phase 380V grid).

• L: May indicate a standard version or specific product feature.

Key Technical Parameters(Representative values based on JT100BCBV1L)

Main Product Features

1. Dedicated Control Modes:Algorithms optimized for compressor characteristics provide smooth acceleration/deceleration curves, preventing mechanical shock to the compressor and electrical grid, and reducing the risk of liquid slugging.

2. Robust Intelligent Protection:Offers comprehensive protection including standard overcurrent/overvoltage protection, plus specific features/interfaces for refrigeration systems like high discharge temperature protection, oil level protection, and motor stall prevention.

3. High-Precision Temperature/ Pressure Control:The built-in PID controller allows direct connection to temperature sensors or pressure transmitters, forming a closed-loop system for extremely precise and stable control of refrigeration parameters.

4. Excellent Energy Efficiency:By adjusting compressor speed to match the real-time cooling demand, it eliminates the energy waste associated with fixed-speed compressors' ON-OFF cycling, achieving average energy savings of 30%-50%.

5. High Integration & Ease of Use:Includes pre-configured application macros (e.g., "Compressor Mode") for quick setup. Standard RS485 communication (e.g., Modbus protocol) facilitates easy integration into Building Management Systems (BMS) or central monitoring systems.

Product Advantages

• Energy Saving & Cost Reduction:Significantly lowers electricity consumption of refrigeration systems, key for energy conservation and carbon reduction goals.

• Precise Control:Enhances temperature control accuracy, improving process outcomes and product quality (e.g., in process cooling, cold storage).

• Reliable Operation:Soft start reduces mechanical stress, extending compressor and motor life; comprehensive protection features reduce system failures.

• System Stability:Mitigates the impact of grid voltage fluctuations and load changes on the compressor, enhancing overall system stability.

• Intelligent Management:Enables remote monitoring and advanced group control strategies, improving operational management.

Typical Applications

• Central Air-Conditioning Systems:Driving screw and centrifugal compressors in chillers.

• Cold Storage & Freezing Warehouses:Variable speed drives for screw and piston compressors in refrigeration plants.

• Industrial Process Cooling:Chillers providing cooling for processes in plastics injection molding, chemical, pharmaceutical industries, etc.

• Heat Pump Units:Driving compressors in air-source and ground-source heat pumps.

• Transport Systems:Cooling systems for冷链物流 (Cold Chain Logistics).

Important Considerations

1. Professional Commissioning:Installation and parameter setting mustbe performed by qualified engineers proficient in both refrigeration systems and VFDs. Incorrect settings can cause compressor damage.

2. Safety Compliance:Always disconnect power and wait at least 10 minutes (until internal capacitors discharge completely) before any inspection or wiring work. Ensure proper grounding.

3. Motor Parameter Tuning:Perform motor parameter identification (auto-tuning) upon initial setup or after compressor replacement to ensure optimal vector control performance.

4. Environmental Conditions: Prevent Condensation!Install the VFD in a dry, condensation-free environment. In humid conditions, auxiliary cabinet heaters or air conditioning are necessary to keep the internal temperature above the dew point.

5. Braking Resistor Selection:If rapid deceleration or stopping of the compressor is required, an correctly sized external braking resistor must be selected according to the VFD specifications.

6. Harmonic Mitigation:For high-power applications or sensitive power networks, consider installing input chokes or filters to suppress harmonic distortion affecting the grid.
